A young program named Beck becomes a leader of a revolution in The Grid. Beck is trained by Tron to become a great warrior, teaching him fighting skills and mentoring himhe becomes a powerful leader. Beck's destiny is to lead a revolution to stop the reign of Clu 2 and his henchman General Tesler, and to lead his home and friends to freedom.
So, both Tron movies to me were like being hungry and getting to smell your favorite food but not eat it. They had good ideas, obviously great graphics, actors, music - but ultimately the story and characters just fizzled and did nothing really.<br/><br/>Now along came this cartoon, I will say the writing in this is far superior to the films, problem is tho, this show really should have been a movie, or maybe a few 1hr episodes. Many are complaining it was cancelled but I'm not one of them, the episodes were getting repetitive and suffering the fate of most shows.<br/><br/>How many times are the bad guys going to bounce back and forth "I've got a plan" "You failed, now listen to me boss, I've got a plan" "The Renegade won't escape - oh, whoops, he did, but uh, he won't next time….but he does".<br/><br/>The villains lost their menace about 6 episodes in and just became a joke. Not to mention the "secret identity" was starting to run in to the inevitable corn ball situations ("Why is so n so never around when the hero is here?"). <br/><br/>Finally - the good guys won't de-res anyone? How are you going to win a revolution without killing any of your enemies? Sorry to say, but if this continued on it would have really been run into the ground.
i have seen the ultimate avengers TV series,,,,,,,and i liked it ..so im searching for any animated TV series …i caught this one and i am so curious how it will be….but it didn't let me down …its amazing and looking forward to next season..i have been only into Dexter, prison break, Spartacus, game of thrones but never cartoon though i used to watch in television …i am really impressed it deserved it……i watched tron movie and its so good that i love the beat and graphics…so the plot in it isusual like movie….bad guy taking up the city and good ones teaming up and put a battle against them…the most impressive thing is the tech …i didn't get where the ideas coming from but its really cool..the grid, the city, tanks, bikes, mechanics, everything is so flattering,,,,bottom line ..cartoon lovers …don't miss it ……….

I would guess that it´s before. As Tron hasn´t been repurposed into Rinzler yet and Clu is still alive.
